Sihle High School is a rural school built on academic excellence, dedicated staff and strong community partnership — guided by our motto, Ora et Labora: Pray and Work.
Established 1970 · Malangeni Area
Since 1970, Sihle High School has served the Malangeni Area as a centre of academic excellence and community development. Our dedicated staff work closely with an active School Governing Body (SGB) to give every learner a disciplined, supportive environment to grow — academically, morally and practically.
Through our long-standing partnership with Illovo Sugar, the school continues to empower rural youth with the education and opportunities they need to build a better future for themselves and their community.
Under the leadership of Mrs Sibongile Mtambo, Sihle High School continues to build on its legacy of academic excellence, discipline and community partnership — guiding staff, learners and the SGB in living out our motto, Ora et Labora, every day.
Sihle High School follows the national CAPS curriculum. All learners take a set of compulsory subjects, then choose electives in the FET phase (Grades 10–12).
Subject availability is confirmed each year by the school. Please contact the office to confirm current offerings and elective combinations.
Sihle High School encourages learners to grow their talents and teamwork outside the classroom.
Building strategy, focus and patience through regular club sessions.
Inter-house and inter-school matches throughout the season.
Competitive league play building fitness, discipline and teamwork.
Sihle High School works alongside Illovo Sugar and its surrounding community to support rural education — helping provide resources, opportunities and development programmes that empower our learners beyond the classroom.
